Paul is Chief Executive of Age UK, the leading charity for older people, where he heads the charity’s work in campaigning, support, advice and friendship.

Having seen first-hand the best and worst of ways older people are treated in our society, Paul is determined to help change how we age in pursuit of a world where every older person is included and valued.

Paul is passionate about the power of the charity sector, where he has worked for more than 30 years. He joined Age UK in 2022 from mental health charity Mind, where has was Chief Executive from 2006. He is a Commissioner at Historic England, a Trustee for English Heritage and is also proud to be the Chair of the Richmond Group of Health Charities.

Duleep is the Richmond Group’s chief executive and is responsible for ensuring that the coalition is a strong and influential collective voice in the health policy landscape, advocating and driving change in the health and care system for people with long-term health conditions. 

Duleep began his career as a welfare rights adviser before moving into policy and influencing, mainly in the voluntary sector. He has worked in health policy since 2004. Prior to joining the Richmond Group, he was Assistant Director of Policy and Campaigns at the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), where he led the development of Fit for the Future, the College’s vision for the future of general practice. Duleep’s previous roles include Head of Insight and Public Affairs at the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) and Head of Policy at Macmillan Cancer Support. At Macmillan, he helped secure key commitments on post-treatment support for cancer patients in successive NHS cancer plans and strategies, as well as significant policy wins on hospital car parking, prescription charges and welfare reform. He led a workstream of the National Cancer Survivorship Initiative (NCSI), which developed tools and learning resources, and ran vocational rehabilitation pilots, to help patients return to work after cancer treatment.  

In his spare time, Duleep enjoys cinema, cooking and football – both playing and watching. Duleep grew up in South London, where he still lives, and season ticket holder at Crystal Palace FC. 

Susan has worked in health policy and influencing roles, across the health sector for over 20 years. Prior to joining the Richmond Group, she was Director of External Affairs at the genomics health think tank PHG Foundation. Susan’s previous roles include Head of Policy at Alzheimer’s Research UK, Head of Health Services at RCPCH, Service Manager at CUHFT and the NHS Management Training Scheme. She is currently Deputy Chair of Trustees at Centre 33, a Cambridgeshire and Peterborough based charity that supports young people with their mental health and practical needs.

Beth joined the Richmond Group in 2024 from member charity Arthritis UK, where she led on policy areas including health inequalities, physical activity, and social care. She was also a member of the Care and Support Alliance coalition’s management group.

Prior to that, she worked on health and care policy at the Royal British Legion, on issues such as better support for unpaid carers in the Armed Forces community and hearing loss among veterans. Beth began her career in local government, working across areas including local democratic services and adult social care.

Jenny joined the Richmond Group of Charities in January 2026 as Programme Director for the We Are Undefeatable programme. With a career in sports development and volunteer engagement, Jenny has held roles in National Governing Bodies of sport, the charity sector and central government. For the last 7 years, Jenny has led large scale behaviour change programmes in the Active Travel sector, enabling more people to be active in their everyday lives. Outside of work, Jenny is a recent convert to CrossFit and Olympic lifting, as well as enjoying runs and long hikes in the countryside. 

Michelle joined the Richmond Group in June 2017. Before that she has worked in local government, charity partnerships and the private sector. Her roles have been delivering and overseeing community physical activity and health behaviour change initiatives that aimed to reduce inequalities, in particular focusing on people with health conditions and the least active. 

Madeleine has been leading the marketing team for the We Are Undefeatable campaign since its inception back in 2019. Following completing a Masters Degree in Marketing & Management from Loughborough University, Madeleine went on to spend 8 years in the broadcast &  TV industry until she moved charity-side where she was able to combine her passion for marketing with her passion for physical activity. Madeleine used to be a keen runner and gig-goer, but now spends most of her free time chasing her brood of boys – 2 year old son, Sebastian; dog, Hector and cat, Norman!   

Peter joined the Richmond Group as Activation Manager for the We Are Undefeatable campaign in 2022. Peter has spent his career supporting people living with long term health conditions to be active working mostly in the voluntary and sport and physical activity sectors. His previous roles have included delivering and managing community-based health and wellbeing programmes and working with national and local stakeholders to support people to be active in ways that work for them. Peter loves all things football and is heavily involved in his local club both behind the scenes as a volunteer, and out on-the-pitch.

Charlotte has been a member of the marketing team since 2019, joining to support the launch of the We Are Undefeatable campaign and now in post as the Senior Marketing Manager for the programme. With a BSc in Business Management and Marketing and previous charity experience, Charlotte has built her career around behaviour change and marketing for good. Outside of work she is a keen runner and passionate about good food and company!   

Emma joined The Richmond Group in June 2022, having held various policy and external affairs roles at a national arts charity and previously at a membership organisation for charitable foundations. Emma completed an MA in International Relations, specialising in gender, and a BSc in International Relations and Spanish. In a voluntary capacity, Emma served on the board as a trustee and latterly as chair of her local council for voluntary services and has also volunteered with older people, asylum seekers and sports clubs. 

Katie joined the marketing team in 2021 and manages a range of campaigns for We Are Undefeatable across the full marketing mix, from TV ads, media partnerships and press campaigns to social and digital channels. Katie previously worked in the travel sector, bringing her experience of delivering stand-out creative campaigns to drive positive impact for people with long term conditions. Outside of work, she still enjoys travel and great food – preferably both at once! 

Louisa joined The Richmond Group in October 2025. Previously she worked at Arthritis UK as policy officer focussing on access to treatment, particularly working on waiting times for elective treatment. Before working in policy, Louisa worked in the NHS as a physiotherapist – primarily as an outpatient physiotherapist and eventually specialising in rheumatology. Louisa has always had a passion for physical activity and is highly motivated to advocate for some of the least active in our communities, ensuring as many people as possible have the support they need to be active. 

Emily joined the Richmond Group in early 2024, bringing a background in storytelling and amplifying lived‑experience voices across diverse communities. She began her career as a documentary researcher in New Zealand, enabling people living with disabilities and long-term health conditions to share their stories, later managing an intergenerational friendship programme in Southwark to reduce loneliness. Alongside currently completing an MSc in Health Psychology, she is motivated by ensuring lived experience meaningfully shapes systems change. Based in South London for the past decade, she enjoys travel, theatre, community performance, hiking, wild swimming and a good boogie. 

Amy joined the We Are Undefeatable campaign in 2022 and since September 2025 has been the Engagement Officer for the Richmond Group of Charities.  

Amy’s passion for physical activity started when she was young and led to her completing a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science and an MSc in Physical Activity for Health. Amy’s first role was a Health and Wellbeing Coach in the NHS. Outside of work Amy enjoys sport, eating, making and baking food and being active for herself! 

Tamara joined the marketing team in 2025, her role involves monitoring and creating organic content for the We Are Undefeatable social channels. She previously worked at the National Academy of Social Prescribing as a Communications Officer, where she developed an interest in the impact of health interventions. Before that, she worked on a local behaviour change campaign called Litter Free Dorset, where she honed her social media skillset. Outside of work, Tamara is a keen runner and loves getting active outside.
